Why should you care about the efficiency of your home?

Your home is the barrier between you and the elements of nature. But that’s not all your home should be. When set up properly, you can create an extremely comfortable environment with efficient building components and not have to worry about utility costs!

Roofs and attic insulation can account for up to 30% of your utility bill.
Windows can account for 25%
Air conditioners can  account for up to 30%.

If your home is inefficient in any of these areas you are likely elevating your monthly expenses. We understand that changing your home can be stressful. That’s why we try to give you as much information about what we are doing and how our upgrades can help you and your family!

Step 1.

Roof

We check for general wear and tear, age, leaks, plywood, layers, and material type. Did you know your roof could increase your utility costs by up to 30%?

emphasis on not buying for style but for utility. buy something that will help you and that will last

Step 2.

Attic Insulation

In order to properly insulate your attic, you need at least 15 inches of attic insulation. You should NOT be able to see the ceiling rafters in your attic. 15 inches of attic insulation will keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter!

After this, we will conduct a test to check the actual efficiency of your window with a heat lamp and BTU meter!

Emphasis on the U value, and heat transfer
